Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

Now as He was yet discoursing to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, and desired to speak to Him:

So his brethren and his mother came, and standing without sent to Him to call Him to them:

After this He went down to Capernaum, He and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: but they staid there not many days.

his brethren therefore said, Depart from hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples there also may see the works which thou performest.

we not power to lead about with us a sister a wife as well as other apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

But I saw no other of the apostles, except James the brother of our Lord.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the houshold of God; being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone:

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And seeing the multitudes He went up to a mountain, and when He was set down, His disciples came to Him, and He opened his mouth and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. read more.
Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God. Blessed are the peace-makers; for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they, who are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye when men shall revile and persecute you, and utter all manner of reproach against you falsly, for my sake: rejoice and be exceeding glad; for great will be your reward in heaven: for so they persecuted the prophets, that were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt be grown insipid, wherewith shall it be seasoned? it is no longer fit for any thing, but to be thrown out of doors, and trodden under foot. Ye are the light of the world: a city, that is situated on a hill, cannot be hid. Nor do men light a candle, to put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick: and then it giveth light to all in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father, who is in heaven.

Now as He was yet discoursing to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, and desired to speak to Him: and somebody said to Him, "Here are thy mother and thy brethren standing without, desiring to speak to thee." and stretching out his hand towards his disciples, He said, "Behold my mother and my brethren:" for whosoever doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is to me as my brother and sister and mother.

And Jesus replied and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon son of Jonas, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I also say unto thee, as thou art called Peter, so upon this rock, which thou hast confessed, will I build my church, and the gates of death shall not prevail against it.

So his brethren and his mother came, and standing without sent to Him to call Him to them: and there was a multitude sitting about Him, and they said to Him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are without inquiring for thee. And He answered them, and said, Who is my mother, or my brethren? read more.
And looking round on those that sat about Him, He said, Behold my mother, and my brethren: for whosoever doth the will of God, he is to me as my brother, my sister, and mother.

For it seems to me that God hath as it were exhibited us the apostles last upon the stage as appointed to death; for we are made a spectacle to the world, and to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ: we are weak, but ye are strong: ye are honoured, but we are despised. Even to this present time we suffer both hunger, and thirst, and nakedness, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling: read more.
and we labour working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless: when persecuted, we bear it: when defamed, we intreat. We are made as the filth of the world, and the refuse of all things to this day.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. So that the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. read more.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ: if so be we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him.

Be not unsuitably connected with infidels: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? or what communion hath light with darkness? what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath a believer with an infidel? and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God: as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and I will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." read more.
Wherefore, "come out from the midst of them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch no unclean thing," and I will receive you: and I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be to me for sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Now his mother and his brethren came to Him, and could not come at Him for the croud: and it was told Him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without desiring to see thee. And He answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God and do it.

But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, in order to suffer death, that by the grace of God He might taste death for every man, crowned with glory and honor. For it became Him for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect by sufferings: since He that sanctifieth, and they that are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

So his brethren and his mother came, and standing without sent to Him to call Him to them:

Now his mother and his brethren came to Him, and could not come at Him for the croud:

Now as He was yet discoursing to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, and desired to speak to Him:

Now there stood near the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene.

His mother saith to the servants, Whatsoever he ordereth you to do, do it.

And when they saw Him, they were amazed. And his mother said to Him, Son, why didst thou deal thus with us? behold, thy father and I with grief have been seeking for thee.

Jesus answered them and said, The doctrine that I teach is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man desire to do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
