And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

And Jesus departed from there, and came near unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart,

And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

And he said unto them, Come you yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest awhile: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

And from there he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,


And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

And Jesus departed from there, and came near unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and put them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: So that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.


And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same regions, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. read more.
Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not right to take the children's bread, and cast it to dogs. And she said, True, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith: be it unto you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. And Jesus departed from there, and came near unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race; and she besought him that he would cast forth the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not right to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. read more.
And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go your way; the demon is gone out of your daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more zealously they proclaimed it; And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He has done all things well: he makes both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
