And Jesus answered and said to him: Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah; for flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to you, That you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church: and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.

You are the light of the world: a city that lies upon a mountain can not be hid: neither do men light a lamp and place it under the measure, but on the lamp-stand, and it gives light to all that are in the house. In this way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

And some one said to him: Behold, your mother and your brothers stand without, desiring to speak to you.
