After these things Jesus resided in Galilee: for He would not appear in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.

And while they were in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men:

And when Jesus had finished these discourses, He departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea, beyond Jordan:

And after He had said these things unto them, He stayed a while in Galilee.



Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again: then said the Jews,



Jesus therefore said, Let her alone, she hath reserved this as for the day of my burial.

Behold, the time is coming, and is even now come, that ye shall be dispersed every one his own way, and shall leave me alone: but I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

and the son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death, and deliver Him up to the gentiles, to insult, and to scourge, and to crucify Him. But on the third day He shall rise again.

but He replied and said unto them, This wicked and degenerate race demand a sign; but no sign shall be given them, except that of the prophet Jonah: for as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

And while they were in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men: and they will put Him to death, and the third day He shall be raised again. And they were exceedingly grieved.

Ye know that after two days the passover is to be kept,---and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

and as they were eating, He said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me.

and He answered, he that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, even he will betray me. The Son of man is going indeed as it is written concerning Him: but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed; it had been good for him, if that man had never been born.

Then He cometh to his disciples and saith, Are ye sleeping still and taking your rest? behold, the hour is come, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go, see the traitor is at hand.

for He was instructing his disciples, and told them, the Son of man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will put Him to death; and on the third day, after his being put to death, He will rise again.

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed at it, and afraid to follow Him. And again taking the twelve aside, He began to tell them what things should befal Him, saying, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will insult Him, and scourge Him, and spit upon Him, and put Him to death: but on the third day He shall rise again.

saying, the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and be put to death, and be raised again the third day. And He said unto them all, if any one is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me: for he that would save his life shall lose it, but he that would lose his life for my sake shall save it.

And He took the twelve with Him and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For He shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and insulted, and abused, and spit upon, and they will scourge Him, and put Him to death: and the third day He shall rise again.

I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but have done it that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me. And I tell you now, before it come, that when it comes to pass ye may believe that I am the Messiah. Verily, verily I say unto you, He that receiveth him, whom I shall send, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth Him that sent me. read more.
Jesus having said these things was troubled in spirit, and He openly testified and said, Verily, verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me. The disciples therefore looked on one another, doubting of whom He spake. Now there was one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, sitting next Him. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him to ask, who it was concerning whom He spake. And he, reclining on the breast of Jesus, saith unto Him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, It is he to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it: and He dipped in a sop and gave it to Judas the Iscariot the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entred into him. Then Jesus saith unto him, What thou dost, do quickly.

Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, whither art thou going? Jesus answered him, Whither I am going thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me hereafter. Peter saith unto Him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee. Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily verily I tell thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.


And while they were in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men: and they will put Him to death, and the third day He shall be raised again. And they were exceedingly grieved.

And they departed from thence and passed through Galilee, and He was not willing that any should know it; for He was instructing his disciples, and told them, the Son of man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will put Him to death; and on the third day, after his being put to death, He will rise again. But they knew not his meaning, and were afraid to ask Him.

And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God: but while they were all wondering at the things which Jesus did, He said to his disciples, Receive these words into your ears; for the Son of man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, so that they perceived it not, and they were afraid to ask Him concerning it.
