But the disciples, [when they] saw him walking on the sea, were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Have courage, I am [he]! Do not be afraid!" And Peter answered him [and] said, "Lord, if {it is you}, command me to come to you on the water!" So he said, "Come!" And getting out of the boat, Peter walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But [when he] saw the strong wind, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And he woke up [and] rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Be quiet! Be silent!" And the wind abated and there was a great calm.
Now it happened that while the crowd was pressing around him and hearing the word of God, he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret, and he saw two boats there beside the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them [and] were washing their nets. And he got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, [and] asked him to put out from the land a little. And he sat down [and] began to teach the crowds from the boat. read more.
And when he stopped speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch." And Simon answered [and] said, "Master, [although we] worked hard through the whole night, we caught nothing. But at your word I will let down the nets." And [when they] did this, they caught a very large number of fish, and their nets began to tear. And they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come [and] help them, and they came and filled both the boats so that they began to sink. And [when he] saw [it], Simon Peter fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, Lord, because I am {a sinful man}!" For amazement had seized him and all those [who were] with him at the catch of fish that they had caught,

And they came [and] woke him up, saying, "Master, master! We are perishing!" So he got up [and] rebuked the wind and the billowing waves of water and they ceased, and it became calm.
After these [things] Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. Now he revealed [himself] in this way: Simon Peter and Thomas (who was called Didymus) and Nathanael from Cana in Galilee and the [sons] of Zebedee and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing!" They said to him, "We also are coming with you." They went out and got into the boat, and during that night they caught nothing. read more.
Now [when it] was already early morning, Jesus stood on the beach. However, the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. So Jesus said to them, "Children, you do not have any fish to eat, [do you]? They answered him, "No." And he said to them, "Throw the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find [some]." So they threw [it], and were no longer able to haul it in from the large number of the fish. Then that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire laid [there], and a fish lying on [it], and bread. Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish that you have just now caught." So Simon Peter got into [the boat] and hauled the net to the land, full of large fish--one hundred fifty-three--and [although there] were so many, the net was not torn.
