For if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die: and if by the Spirit ye kill the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not consideration for the flesh, for the passions.
Therefore kill your members that are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified together, that the body of sin might be left inactive, for us no more to serve sin.
And they of Christ have crucified the flesh with the passions and desires.
That no more to the eager desires of men, but to the will of God, should he live the remaining time in the flesh.
And I say, Walk in Spirit, and complete not the desire of the flesh.
And if thine eye give thee cause of offence, take it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members be destroyed, and not thy whole body be cast into hell.
And if thy hand or thy foot give thee cause of offence, cut them off, and cast from thee: it is good for thee to come into life lame or maimed, than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire.
Dearly beloved, I beseech as sojourners and strangers, to keep off from fleshly passions, which war against the soul;
