If, therefore, you have not been faithful in the unrighteous riches, who will intrust you with the true?


Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? What communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? What connection has a believer with an unbeliever? What has a temple of God in common with one of idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said: I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.



But I say, that the things which the Gen tiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. I do not wish you to be partakers with demons. You can not drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: you can not be partakers of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

With it we bless God, even the Father: and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not so to be. Does a fountain send forth from the same cavern sweet water and bitter? read more.
Can the fig-tree, my brethren, bear olives, or the vine, figs? So no fountain can produce salt water and fresh.
