Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me, in your prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that this service of mine, which is for Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints; that I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed among you.

praying with all prayer and supplication, at all times, in the Spirit; and to this end being watchful in all perseverance, and supplication for all the saints: and for me, that speech may be given me, in opening my mouth with boldness, that I may make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

for I know that this will result in my benefit through your supplication, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Persevere in prayer, and be watchful in the same with thanksgiving; praying at the same time also for us, that God may open for us a door of utterance to speak the mystery of the Christ, for which I am in bonds, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified even as among you; and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men; for all have not the disposition for faith.

At the same time, also, prepare me a lodging: for I hope that through the prayers of you all, I may be given to you.

Pray for us: for we trust that we have a good conscience, willing to live honor ably in all things. And I the more earnestly entreat you to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you. But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.
