Such is the way of all those who seek illicit gain it takes away the lives of those who possess it.

In the morning you'll say, "I wish it were evening.' Yet in the evening you'll say, "I wish it were morning,' on account of what you'll dread and what you'll see.

Good understanding produces grace, but the lifestyle of the treacherous never changes.

There will be suffering and anguish for every human being who practices doing evil, for Jews first and for Greeks as well.

Wherever they went, the LORD worked against them to bring misfortune, just as the LORD had warned, and just as the LORD had promised them. As a result, they suffered greatly.
