Thematic Bible: Mocked by the soldiers (in jerusalem)

Then the soldiers of the governor, taking Jesus into the Praetorium, gathered to Him the whole band. And, having stripped Him, they put on Him a scarlet robe; and, having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and, kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" read more.
And, having spit on Him, they took the reed, and smote Him on the head; and, when they mocked Him, they took off the robe from Him, and put on His own garments, and led Him away to crucify Him.

And the soldiers led Him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole band. And they clothe Him with purple; and, having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on Him. And they began to salute Him, "Hail King of the Jews!" read more.
And they were smiting His head with a reed, and kept spitting on Him; and, bowing their knees, they were worshiping Him! And, when they mocked Him, they took from Him the purple, and put on Him His own garments. And they lead Him out to crucify Him.
