In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, "Ask what I shall give you."

And Saul said to Ahijah, "Bring near the ephod." For he wore the ephod at that time in Israel.

Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

The anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God struck him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

and the lamp of God hadn't yet gone out, and Samuel had lain down in the LORD's temple, where the ark of God was;

The ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

He who brought the news answered, "Israel has fled before the Philistines, and there has been also a great slaughter among the people. Your two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been captured."

She said, "The glory has departed from Israel; for the ark of God is taken."

They said, "If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but by all means return him a trespass offering: then you shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you."

that the king said to Nathan the prophet, "See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains."

The king said to Zadok, "Carry back the ark of God into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

David was afraid of God that day, saying, "How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?"

David made him houses in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. Then David said, "No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites. For the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever."

The children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.

They brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.



Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, At the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

By the breath of God they perish. By the blast of his anger are they consumed.

Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

He shall not depart out of darkness. The flame shall dry up his branches. By the breath of God's mouth shall he go away.



For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is made ready. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. The LORD's breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.

but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.








"It will be that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' There they will be called 'children of the living God.'"




Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,



The LORD said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and did not destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

For though he may cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the abundance of his loving kindness.

I drew them with cords of a man, with ties of love; and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; and I bent down to him and I fed him.

that then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples, where the LORD your God has scattered you.

The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

It shall happen, after that I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them; and I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.

Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God. He is greatly exalted.

Be exalted, God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.



You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.

In that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD. Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted.



"Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. There has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant.

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.




Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.


I will sing of the loving kindness of the LORD forever. With my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.



nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.


Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said, "Hear me, my brothers, and my people. As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

'heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'or what is the place of my rest?






but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has made known to king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head on your bed, are these:

God did not reject his people, which he foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:

Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up."





LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you shall be disappointed. Those who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living waters.




You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.


Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty.

Of the glorious majesty of your honor, of your wondrous works, I will meditate.

Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.


He said, "Please show me your glory." He said, "I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy." He said, "You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live." read more.
The LORD also said, "Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock. It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by; then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen."

The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, "I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.


If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, The LORD your God;

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, "Stand up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.


So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.

Let your work appear to your servants; your glory to their children.





LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who has set your glory above the heavens.

The LORD is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.


Let the glory of the LORD endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works.


Yes, they will sing of the ways of the LORD; for great is the LORD's glory.














Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came."

and I will turn you around, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you forth, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords;

who foils the omens of the empty talkers, and makes fools of diviners; who turns wise men back, and makes their knowledge foolish;


He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.

The LORD said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

All the people answered together, and said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do." Moses reported the words of the people to the LORD.

At the commandment of the LORD, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of the LORD they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.

that you may enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day;

Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you."

"When you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said to me, 'No, but a king shall reign over us;' when the LORD your God was your king.





I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.

"Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your mighty acts?

Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What god is great like God?


For I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is above all gods.


Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for the Holy One of Israel is great in the midst of you."

For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the nations," says the LORD of hosts.




For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence." says the LORD of hosts. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.







Exalt the LORD, our God. Worship at his holy hill, for the LORD, our God, is holy.


The men of Beth Shemesh said, "Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?"

"'My holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I allow my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come."



For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: 'TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.' What therefore you worship in ignorance, this I announce to you.

Yes, the stork in the sky knows her appointed times; and the turtledove and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people do not know the LORD's law.

"They bend their tongue, as their bow, for falsehood; and they are grown strong in the land, but not for truth: for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me," says the LORD.


"For my people are foolish, they do not know me. They are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are skillful in doing evil, but to do good they have no knowledge."


Also all that generation were gathered to their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, who didn't know the LORD, nor yet the work which he had worked for Israel.







The LORD spoke to Moses, "Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your seed.' I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: to a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of you, for you are a stiff-necked people, lest I consume you in the way."


Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, "This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine; read more.
and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel." Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which the LORD commanded him. All the people answered together, and said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do." Moses reported the words of the people to the LORD.


For my name's sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I not cut you off.


who before were disobedient, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved by means of water.

'The LORD is slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and that will by no means clear [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.'

Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I didn't destroy them, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.




But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),



The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down. The LORD loves the righteous.




but because the LORD loves you, and because he would keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.




In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which she shall be called: "The LORD our righteousness."


It shall be eighteen thousand reeds around: and the name of the city from that day shall be, 'The LORD is there.'"


Abraham called the name of that place the LORD Will Provide. As it is said to this day, "On the LORD's mountain, it will be provided."




Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it "The LORD is Peace." To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.







because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.





LORD, God of Hosts, who is a mighty one like you, LORD? Your faithfulness is around you.


"Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your mighty acts?

Who is like you, LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? You stretched out your right hand. The earth swallowed them.


I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might


I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever."


saying: "We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was; because you have taken your great power, and reigned.


Yours, LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

Hear, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might."


behold, the hand of the LORD is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.

Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together.

For now I would have put forth my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;


In the beginning, LORD, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.

He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens:






Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son."



to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.









For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.



Do you not fear me?' says the LORD 'Won't you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can't pass it? And though its waves toss themselves, yet they can't prevail; though they roar, yet they can't pass over it.'






who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?





He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him. But the thunder of his power who can understand?"









Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death.


All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing; and he does according to his will in the host of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or tell him, "What have you done?"

"See now that I, even I, am he, There is no god with me. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.






God who is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and prospered?





If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

"Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power, and by your strong hand.


The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars. Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.

The voice of the LORD is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even the LORD on many waters.


The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. The LORD has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death.



With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; for his loving kindness endures forever:



but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;



Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God:" and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them; as the LORD had spoken.



He does great things past finding out; yes, marvelous things without number.





God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.


But the LORD is with me as an awesome mighty one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly disappointed, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.


Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him. But the thunder of his power who can understand?"


Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?


God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.


Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.


Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, "Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the LORD will work for us; for there is no restraint on the LORD to save by many or by few."




For I was ashamed to ask of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, "The hand of our God is on all those who seek him, for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those who forsake him."








Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power known.








But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.


Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?


Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention;

But my people did not listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.


But the Pharisees and the Law scholars rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.

The LORD said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.



The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.

The LORD, the God of Israel, you are righteous; for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is this day. Behold, we are before you in our guiltiness; for none can stand before you because of this."

As is your name, God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness.

By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea;

TZADE. You are righteous, LORD. Your judgments are upright.









It shall be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God. We have waited for him, and he will save us. This is the LORD. We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation."

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

Truly in vain is help from the hills, the tumult on the mountains. Truly the salvation of Israel is in the LORD our God.







It shall be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God. We have waited for him, and he will save us. This is the LORD. We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation."

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

Truly in vain is help from the hills, the tumult on the mountains. Truly the salvation of Israel is in the LORD our God.








Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can't be measured nor numbered; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.'



But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this. We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

The LORD is in his holy temple. The LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.







For you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.

Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

He who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits on it.


Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble."

The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.







so that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.





Into your hand I commit my spirit. You redeem me, LORD, God of truth.



I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God. I sing praises to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.


The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day. The father shall make known your truth to the children.


who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;


Now therefore, LORD, the God of Israel, let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David.


For the LORD is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.


For however many are the promises of God, in him they are "Yes." Therefore also through him they are "Amen," to the glory of God through us.


You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.


All the paths of the LORD are loving kindness and truth to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.


Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness?




He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.


The serpent said to the woman, "You won't surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."


Now may the LORD show loving kindness and truth to you. I also will reward you for this kindness, because you have done this thing.






He will send from heaven, and save me, he rebukes the one who is pursuing me. Selah. God will send out his loving kindness and his truth.


They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty. Righteous and true are your ways, O King eternal.


I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments."




As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.

The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of El Shaddai when he speaks.

When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of Shaddai, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army: when they stood, they let down their wings.

He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

How great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.




The LORD said to Moses, "When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.
