And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

And God spake all these words, saying,

And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.


And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Jehovah gave them unto me.

And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote, in the presence of the children of Israel.


even to the carpenters and to the builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to make beams for the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed. And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and others of the Levites, all that were skilful with instruments of music.




And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were counted faithful, and their business was to distribute unto their brethren.


Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to give to them that did the work; for they dealt faithfully.


And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not aught that was with him, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was comely, and well-favored.




Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion nor fault, forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.


Dead flies cause the oil of the perfumer to send forth an evil odor;'so doth a little folly outweigh wisdom and honor.


As a dog that returneth to his vomit,'so is a fool that repeateth his folly.

This their way is their folly: Yet after them men approve their sayings. Selah

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge; But the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.


Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.


But they shall proceed no further. For their folly shall be evident unto all men, as theirs also came to be.





Yea also, when the fool walketh by the way, his understanding faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool.
