And they set apart Kadesh in Galilee, in the hills of Naphtali; and Shechem in the hills of Ephraim; and Kirjath-arba (it is Hebron) in the hills of Judah.
And they gave them Shechem and its open lands in mount Ephraim as a city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer and its open lands,
Then He came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers. And they presented themselves before God.
