And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, but not like his father and his mother; for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like the house of Ahab for he had the daughter of Ahab for a wife. And he did the evil in the eyes of Jehovah.
He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab. For his mother was his counselor to do wickedly. And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah like the house of Ahab. For they were his counselors after the death of his father, to his ruin.
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you walk in their counsels, so that I should make you a ruin and its people a hissing; therefore you shall bear the shame of My people.
