And Jehovah said to Aaron, You and your sons, and your father's house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary. And you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and bind turbans on them. And the priest's office shall be theirs for an everlasting statute. And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

And you shall take to yourself Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, so that he may minister to Me in the priest's office: Aaron and Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel among those who called on His name; they called on Jehovah, and He answered them.

And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called of God, as Aaron was.


Now the sum of the things which we have spoken is this: We have such a High Priest, who has sat down on the right of the throne of the Majesty in Heaven,

But when Christ had become a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building

and having a High Priest over the house of God,





Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.






So also Christ did not glorify Himself to be made a high priest, but He who said to Him, "You are My Son, today I have begotten You."






As He says also in another place, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."

And it is still far more evident, since there arises another priest after the likeness of Melchizedek,

For He testifies, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."


Speak to Aaron and to his sons saying, In this way you shall bless the sons of Israel, saying to them, Jehovah bless you and keep you. Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. read more.
Jehovah lift up His face to you and give you peace.

Having raised up His son Jesus, God sent Him to you first, to bless you in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.


But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much He is also the Mediator of a better covenant, which was built upon better promises.

Therefore if perfection were by the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the Law), what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

who is made, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.

Now the sum of the things which we have spoken is this: We have such a High Priest, who has sat down on the right of the throne of the Majesty in Heaven, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

by so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.


Therefore, holy brothers, called to be partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right of God,







For Christ has not entered into the Holy of Holies made with hands, which are the figures of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.


Therefore it was necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves were purified with better sacrifices than these.

For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?


For the Law appoints men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, has consecrated the Son forever, having been perfected.

And they truly were many priests, because they were not allowed to continue because of death;


(for then He must have suffered often since the foundation of the world), but now once in the end of the world He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.



And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for those priests were made without an oath, but this one was made with an oath by Him who said to Him, "The Lord swore and will not repent, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek,")

And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. And you shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and sanctify him, so that he may minister to Me in the priest's office. And Melchizedek the king of Salem brought forth bread and wine. And he was the priest of the most high God. And he gave him tithes of all.
