All the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask us a king."

Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.

on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you;

The king answered the man of God, "Now entreat the favor of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again." The man of God entreated the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

Simon answered, "Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me."


The children of Israel said to Samuel, "Do not cease to cry to the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines."


Who may ascend to the LORD's hill? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: the one which keeps faith.










If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found favor in your sight; and do not let me see my wretchedness."

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he requested for himself that he might die, and said, "It is enough. Now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers."

He said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him, "Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand, and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom."




Now it happened, when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized, and was praying. The sky was opened,

Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you listened to me.


He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed, saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."


But the report concerning him spread much more, and great crowds came together to hear, and to be healed of their infirmities. But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.


After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray. When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.


It happened, as he was praying alone, that the disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"
