Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. And they lie in wait for their own blood; they lurk secretly for their own lives. So are the ways of everyone that is greedy of gain; which takes away the life of its owners. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
Rejected silver shall men call them, because the LORD has rejected them.
