Afflictions » The afflicted
You shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright. With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the devious you will show yourself shrewd. And the afflicted people you will save: but your eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down.

He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he that gives to the rich, shall surely come to poverty.
You shall not pervert the justice of your poor in his dispute.
