Blessed is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the gain thereof is better than the gain of silver, and her revenue than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies; and all the things thou canst desire are not equal unto her. read more.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength; but the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

If the iron be blunt, and one do not whet the edge, then must he apply more strength; but wisdom is profitable to give success.

Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.


for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not equal to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find the knowledge which cometh of reflection. The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate. read more.
