Then he brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.


Forty years you sustained them in the desert--they were not in need. Their clothing did not wear out and their feet did not swell.

{Now Moses was a hundred and twenty years old} {when he died}; {his sight was not impaired and his vigor had not abated}.

And he humbled you and let you go hungry, and [then] he fed you with that which you did not know nor did your ancestors know, in order to make you know that not by bread alone but by all [that] goes out of the mouth of Yahweh humankind shall live. Your clothing did not wear out {on you}, and your feet did not swell [during] these forty years.

And I have led you forty years in the desert; your clothes [have] not worn out {on you}, and your sandal has not worn out {on your foot}. You have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine and strong drink, so that you may know that I [am] Yahweh your God.

And the {Israelites} did according to the word of Moses, and they asked from [the] Egyptians [for] objects of silver and objects of gold and [for] clothing. And Yahweh gave the people favor in the eyes of [the] Egyptians, and they granted [their] requests, and they plundered [the] Egyptians.

Speak in the ears of the people, and let them ask, a man from his neighbor and a woman from her neighbor, [for] objects of silver and objects of gold." And Yahweh gave the people favor in the eyes of Egypt. Also the man Moses [was] very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of the servants of Pharaoh and in the eyes of the people.
