For You are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil cannot dwell with You.


The Lord hates six things;
in fact, seven are detestable to Him:

Do not plot evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love perjury, for I hate all this”—this is the Lord’s declaration.

but establish the righteous.
The One who examines the thoughts and emotions
is a righteous God.


You have tested my heart;
You have examined me at night.
You have tried me and found nothing evil;
I have determined that my mouth will not sin.

I will put this third through the fire;
I will refine them as silver is refined
and test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
and I will answer them.
I will say: They are My people,
and they will say: Yahweh is our God.”


The heart is more deceitful than anything else and desperately sick-who can understand it? I, the Lord, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

I know, my God, that You test the heart and that You are pleased with what is right. I have willingly given all these things with an upright heart, and now I have seen Your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to You.

The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; He examines everyone. The Lord examines the righteous and the wicked. He hates the lover of violence.




Six things the Lord hates; in fact, seven are detestable to Him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that plots wicked schemes, feet eager to run to evil, read more.
a lying witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up trouble among brothers.







For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
but the Lord supports the righteous.

My servants will shout for joy from a glad heart,
but you will cry out from an anguished heart,
and you will lament out of a broken spirit.

“I will cut off all the horns of the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”

So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
