Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the scriptures, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this has become {the cornerstone}. This came about from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

This one is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, that has become {the cornerstone}.

Therefore the honor [is] for you who believe, but for those who refuse to believe, "The stone that the builders rejected, this one has become {the cornerstone},"



For it stands in scripture, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen [and] precious cornerstone, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame."

I will bless Yahweh who advises me; yes, [at] night my {innermost being} instructs me. I have set Yahweh before me always. Because [he is] at my right hand I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices. Yes, my body will dwell in safety, read more.
for you will not abandon my soul to Sheol; you will not give your faithful one to see [the] grave. You will make known to me [the] path of life. In your presence [is] fullness of joy. At your right hand [are] pleasures forever.

Your God has commanded your strength. Show yourself strong, O God, [by] what you perform for us. Because your temple [is] above Jerusalem, kings will bring tribute to you. Rebuke [the] beasts in [the] reeds, [the] herd of bulls with [the] calves of [the] peoples, trampling the pieces of silver. Scatter [the] nations [who] delight in battles. read more.
Ambassadors will come from Egypt; Cush will quickly stretch out her hands to God. O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praise to [the] Lord, Selah to the one who rides in the highest heavens of old. See, he gives forth his voice, a mighty voice. Ascribe strength to God. His majesty [is] over Israel, and his strength [is] in the clouds. Awesome [are you], O God, from your sanctuary. The God of Israel, [it is] he who gives strength and might to the people. Blessed be God.

O God, give your judgments to [the] king, and your righteousness to [the] king's son. May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. Let [the] mountains yield prosperity for the people, and [the] hills in righteousness. read more.
May he provide justice [for the] poor of [the] people, save [the] children of [the] needy, and crush [the] oppressor. May he live long {while the sun endures} {as long as the moon} {for all generations}. May he descend like rain on mown grass, like showers watering [the] earth. May [what is] right blossom in his days and an abundance of peace, until [the] moon is no more. And may he rule from sea up to sea, and from [the] River to [the] edges of [the] land. Let [the] desert dwellers bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust. Let the kings of Tarshish and [the] islands bring tribute. Let the kings of Sheba and Seba present gifts, and let all kings bow down to him. Let all nations serve him. Indeed he will deliver [the] needy [who is] crying for help, and [the] afflicted [who] has no helper. He will take pity on [the] helpless and needy, and [the] lives of [the] needy he will save. From oppression and from violence he will redeem their lives, and their blood will be precious in his eyes. So may he live, and may gold from Sheba be given to him, and may prayers be offered for him continually. May blessings be invoked for him {all day long}. May there be an abundance of grain in the land [even] on [the] top of [the] mountains. May his crop sway like the [trees of] Lebanon, and may [those] from [the] city blossom like the grass of the earth. May his name endure forever. May his name increase {as long as the sun shines}, and let them be blessed in him. Let all nations call him blessed. Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, [who] alone does wonderful things. And blessed be his glorious name forever, and may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.

Open to me [the] gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them [and] give thanks to Yah. This [is] the gate of Yahweh, through [which the] righteous will enter. I will give thanks [to] you for you have answered me, and you have become my salvation. read more.
[The] stone the builders rejected has become [the] chief cornerstone. This is from Yahweh; it is wonderful in our eyes. This [is] the day Yahweh has worked; let us rejoice and be glad in him. O Yahweh, please save; O Yahweh, please grant success. Blessed [is] he who comes in the name of Yahweh. We bless you from the house of Yahweh. Yahweh is God, and he has given us light. Bind [the] festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. You [are] my God, and I will give thanks to you. [You are] my God; I will exalt you. Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good, for his loyal love [is] forever.






Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the scriptures, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this has become {the cornerstone}. This came about from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

And he began to tell the people this parable: "A man planted a vineyard, and leased it to tenant farmers, and went on a journey for a long time. And at the proper time he sent a slave to the tenant farmers, so that they would give him [some] of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenant farmers sent him away empty-handed [after] beating [him]. And he proceeded to send another slave, but they beat and dishonored that one also, [and] sent [him] away empty-handed. read more.
And he proceeded to send a third, but they wounded [and] threw out this one also. So the owner of the vineyard said, 'What should I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.' But [when] the tenant farmers saw him, they began to reason with one another, saying, 'This is the heir. Let us kill him so that the inheritance will become ours!' And they threw him out of the vineyard [and] killed [him]. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy those tenant farmers and give the vineyard to others." And [when they] heard [this], they said, "[May this] never happen!" But he looked intently at them [and] said, "What then is this that is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected, this has become {the cornerstone}.' Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and [the one] on whom it falls--it will crush him!"

if we are being examined today concerning a good deed [done to] a sick man--by what [means] this man was healed-- let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by him this man stands before you healthy! This one is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, that has become {the cornerstone}.

to whom you are drawing near, a living stone rejected by men but chosen [and] precious in the sight of God. And [you] yourselves, as living stones, are being built up [as] a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in scripture, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a chosen [and] precious cornerstone, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame." read more.
Therefore the honor [is] for you who believe, but for those who refuse to believe, "The stone that the builders rejected, this one has become {the cornerstone}," and "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense," who stumble [because they] disobey the word to which also they were consigned.

to whom you are drawing near, a living stone rejected by men but chosen [and] precious in the sight of God.

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the scriptures, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this has become {the cornerstone}. This came about from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes'? For this [reason], I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and will be given to a people who produce its fruits. And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and [the one] on whom it falls--it will crush him!"

But he looked intently at them [and] said, "What then is this that is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected, this has become {the cornerstone}.' Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and [the one] on whom it falls--it will crush him!"
