And now, let not my blood fall to the earth far from the face of Jehovah; for the king of Israel is come out to seek a single flea, as when they hunt a partridge on the mountains.
For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are taken with the snare, like them are the children of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth when no gin is laid for him? Will the snare spring up from the earth when nothing at all hath been taken?
The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way-side; they have set traps for me. Selah.
Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.
