And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man was risen from the dead.

But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should proclaim light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

I have said to corruption, You are my father: to the worm, You are my mother, and my sister.

Because you will not leave my soul in hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.

They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.

All flesh would perish together, and man would turn again unto dust.

That he should still live forever, and not see corruption.

You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

I went down to the foundations of the mountains; the earth with her bars closed about me forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hades, neither his flesh did see corruption.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said in this way, I will give you the sure mercies of David. Therefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not allow your Holy One to see corruption. For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption: read more.
But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honor are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For you will not leave my soul in sheol; neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. read more.
You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there.

Sheol is naked before him, and destruction has no covering.

The wicked shall be turned into sheol, and all the nations that forget God.

The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the pangs of sheol got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Sheol and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me;

It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than Sheol; what can you know?

I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. read more.
For you will not leave my soul in sheol; neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Your God has commanded your strength: strengthen, O God, that which you have done for us. Because of your temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto you. Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submits himself with pieces of silver: scatter you the people that delight in war. read more.
Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. Sing unto God, you kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah: To him that rides upon the heaven of heavens, which were of old; lo, he does send out his voice, and that a mighty voice. Ascribe you strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. O God, you are awesome out of your holy places: the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

[A Psalm of Solomon.] Give the king your judgments, O God, and your righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. read more.
He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the coasts shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. For he shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their souls from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight. And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised. There shall be a handful of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth. His name shall endure forever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name forever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise you: for you have heard me, and have become my salvation. read more.
The stone which the builders rejected has become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech you, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech you, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. God is the LORD, who has showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise you: you are my God, I will exalt you. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures forever.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of his descendants, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For you will not leave my soul in sheol; neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. read more.

For David spoke concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: pity shall be hid from my eyes.

And though after my skin is thus destroyed, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
