Because he will hide me in his shelter in [the] day of trouble. He will conceal me in the hiding place of his tent. He will set me high upon a rock. And now my head will be high over my enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh.

Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear. Though war arise against me, [even] in this I [will] remain confident. One [thing] I have asked from Yahweh; it I will seek: [that] I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Yahweh, and to consider his temple. Because he will hide me in his shelter in [the] day of trouble. He will conceal me in the hiding place of his tent. He will set me high upon a rock.

God [is] our refuge and strength, a very sufficient help in troubles. Therefore we will not fear though [the] earth change, and though the mountains totter into [the] {midst} of [the] sea, though its waters roar [and] foam, though mountains shake with its surging [water]. Selah

{And} when my glory passes over, I will put you in the rock's crevice, and I will cover you [with] my hand until I pass over.

You will hide them in the protection of your presence from [the] plots of man. You will hide them in a shelter from [the] strife of tongues.

Be for me a rock of refuge to resort to always; you have ordained to save me, because you [are] my rock and my fortress.

For you have been a refuge to the poor, a refuge to the needy in his distress, a shelter from [the] rainstorm, a shade from [the] heat. For [the] breath of [the] ruthless [was] like a rainstorm against a wall,

Return to [the] fortress, O prisoners of hope; today [I am] declaring [that] I will repay you double.

And each one will be like a hiding place from [the] wind and a covering from [the] rainstorm, like streams of water in a dry region, like [the] shade of a large rock in a weary land.

[You are] the hope of Israel, its savior in time of distress. Why should you be like an alien in the land, or like a traveler who spreads out [his tent] to spend the night?
