Psalm 36:1

([Psalm of David]) Sin speaks to the ungodly deep within his heart. There is no reverence for God before his eyes.

Psalm 36:2

He flatters himself and does not hate or even recognize his sin.

Psalm 36:3

The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit and he ceased to be wise and do good.

Psalm 36:4

He plans wickedness upon his bed. He walks on a path that is not good. He does not despise evil.

Psalm 36:5

Your loving-kindness, O Jehovah, extends to the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Psalm 36:6

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like great deep water. O Jehovah, you preserve man and beast.

Psalm 36:7

How precious is your loving-kindness, O God! And the children of men put their trust in the shadow of your wings.

Psalm 36:8

They drink their fill of the abundance of your house. You give them the river of your delights to drink.

Psalm 36:9

For with you is the fountain (source) of life. In your light we see light. (Jeremiah 2:13) (Acts 17:28)

Psalm 36:10

O continue your kindness and unchanging love to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Psalm 36:11

Do not let the foot of pride come upon me. Do not let the hand of the ungodly drive me away.
