Has not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth?

Woe unto him that strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What do you make? or of your work, He has no hands?

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? says the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper.

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.

He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.

Whosoever causes the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

For a harlot is a deep ditch; and a seductress is a narrow well.

He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and whosoever breaks through a wall, a serpent shall bite him.

He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own crown.

Let not the floodwater overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.

The proud have dug pits for me, which is not after your law.

Whosoever digs a pit shall fall in it: and he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.

He that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their punishment, says the LORD.

[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

For now you number my steps: do not watch over my sin.

When you go, your steps shall not be hindered; and when you run, you shall not stumble.

He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a refuge from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Bow down your ear to me; deliver me speedily: be my strong rock, for a house of defense to save me.

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be God, the rock of my salvation.

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore shall you plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with imported seedlings:

For who is God, except the LORD? and who is a rock, except our God?

For now you number my steps: do not watch over my sin.

When you go, your steps shall not be hindered; and when you run, you shall not stumble.

He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
