Psalm 75:1

([Psalm of Asaph]) We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your name is near and men declare your wondrous works.

Psalm 75:2

When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge in righteousness.

Psalm 75:3

The earth and all who dwell in it dissolve (melt) (become faint hearted). I have firmly set its pillars.

Psalm 75:4

I said to the boastful: Do not boast! I said to the wicked: Do not lift up the horn (brag about your power)!

Psalm 75:5

Do not lift up your horn on high. Do not speak with insolent pride.

There is no exaltation from the east, or from the west, or from the desert.

God is the Judge; He brings down one and exalts another.

Psalm 75:8

Jehovah holds a cup in his hand. The wine foams and is well mixed. So he pours from it. Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and drink down its dregs.

But as for me, I will declare forever and I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
