Chastisement » The lord chastening
And know in thy heart that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God chasteneth thee;
Jehovah, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
He that instructeth the nations, shall not he correct he that teacheth man knowledge? Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
Jah hath chastened me sore; but he hath not given me over unto death.
Ye endure for chastening, God conducts himself towards you as towards sons; for who is the son that the father chastens not? But if ye are without chastening, of which all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
