My soul is consumed with longing for your decrees at all times.


My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me searches for you. For when your judgments come upon the earth, the world's inhabitants learn righteousness.


How blessed are you who are hungry now, because you will be satisfied! How blessed are you who are crying now, because you will laugh!

Everybody in Judah was very glad to make their oath, because they had made their vow with all their heart and had sought him with all of their might, and they found him! The LORD also gave them rest in their surrounding lands.



I open my mouth and pant as I long for your commands.


As soon as I send Artemas to you, or perhaps Tychicus, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.

Taking Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him, he began to be grieved and troubled.
