For this thing I besought the Lord three times that it might be taken from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather glory in my weaknesses that the power of Christ may dwell in me.


Then Moses returned unto the LORD and said, I pray thee, for, this people who have sinned a great sin and have made themselves gods of gold, that thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me now out of thy book which thou hast written.


And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let thee go except thou bless me.


And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy slave king instead of David my father; and I am but a tender young man; I do not know how to go out or come in. And thy slave is in the midst of thy people whom thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give, therefore, thy slave a hearing heart to judge thy people that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this thy so great a people?


Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy mercy; according unto the multitude of thy compassion eradicate my rebellion. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.


And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.






And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, Ask what you wish that I shall give thee.

Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain, so the LORD shall make lightnings and shall give you abundant rain and grass in the field to each one.

for every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.






Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those who shall believe in me through their word;












Give me now wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

yea, if thou criest for understanding and givest thy voice unto intelligence,





And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go and will give me bread to eat and clothing to put on
