Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would depart from me. And he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, because the power is perfected in weakness." Therefore rather I will boast most gladly in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may reside in me.


And Moses returned to Yahweh, and he said, "Alas, this people has sinned a great sin and made for themselves gods of gold. And now if you will forgive their sin--and if not, please blot me from your scroll that you have written."


Then he said, "Let me go, for dawn is breaking." But he answered, "I will not let you go unless you bless me."


So then, O Yahweh, you are my God. You have made your servant king in place of David my father [though] I [am] a young boy. I do not know going out or coming in. Your servant [is] in the middle of your people whom you have chosen; a great people who cannot be counted or numbered because of abundance. Give to your servant a listening heart to judge your people, to discern between good and bad, because who is able to judge this, your difficult people?"


Be gracious to me, O God, according to your loyal love. According to your abundant mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and from my sin cleanse me.


And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom!"






And I tell you, ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened for you.

Yahweh appeared to Solomon at Gibeon in a dream at night, and God said, "Ask what I should give to you."

Ask rain from Yahweh in the season of [the] spring rain-- Yahweh, who makes storm clouds, and he gives showers of rain to them, to everyone vegetation in the field.

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.






"And I do not ask on behalf of these only, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their word,












Now, give to me wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can judge this, your great people?"

For if you cry out for understanding, [if] you lift your voice for insight,





And Jacob made a vow saying, "If God will be with me and protect me on this way that I am going, and gives me food to eat and clothing to wear,
