And at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt: from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his seat, unto the firstborn of the captive that was in prison, and all firstborn of the cattle.


And the fish that was in the river died, and the river stank: so that the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river. And there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

And the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink, for they could not drink of the water of the river.


The water of the sea shall be drawn out, the Nile shall sink away, and be drunk up. The rivers also shall be drawn out, the wells shall decrease and dry away.


Yea, the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste, and they shall know that I am the LORD: Because he said, 'The water is mine, I myself have made it.'


The fishers shall mourn, all such as cast angles in the water shall complain, and they that spread their nets in the water shall be faint hearted.


For by sea were there fruits brought unto thee, and all manner of corn by water. Thou wast the common market of all people.


And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to the river to wash herself, and her maidens walked along by the river's side. And when she saw the basket among the flags, she sent one of her maids and caused it to be fetched.

Then Pharaoh arose the same night and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and there was a great crying throughout Egypt, for there was no house where there was not one dead.
