But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, boast not and do not be liars against the truth.





and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of the Christ, to confirm you and to exhort you in your faith,


Having come to Troas for the gospel of the Christ, even though a door was opened unto me in the Lord,






The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those that are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favour, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to order in Zion those that mourn, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.



I am the first that has taught these things unto Zion, and unto Jerusalem I brought the news.




But when I saw that they did not walk uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, dost live after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why dost thou compel the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?




For it is time that the judgment begins from the house of God; and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of those that do not obey the gospel of God?


But I went up by revelation and communicated unto them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who seemed to be of repute, to not run, or have run, in vain.

and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision.







but the others out of charity, knowing that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.


but the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel that he might evangelize those that dwell on the earth and every nation and kindred and tongue and people,



And how shall they preach if they have not been sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those that announce the gospel of peace, of those that announce the gospel of that which is good! But not everyone hearkens unto the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?















The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.



Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God


Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with freedom, said, It was necessary indeed that the word of God should first have been spoken to you; but seeing ye put it from you and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.






With all this, they abode there a long time speaking with freedom in the Lord, who gave testimony unto the word of his grace and granted that signs and wonders be done by their hands.



with flaming fire, to take vengeance on those that do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with eternal destruction by the presence of the Lord and by the glory of his power,


With all this, they abode there a long time speaking with freedom in the Lord, who gave testimony unto the word of his grace and granted that signs and wonders be done by their hands.



For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.



For this cause also we thank God without ceasing, that having received from us the word to hear from God, ye received it not as the word of men, (but as it is in truth) the word of God, which effectually works in you that believe.


Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will in man.

But the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you a gospel of great joy, which shall be to all the people.


that by the experience of this ministration, they glorify God for the obedience of your consent unto the gospel of the Christ and in your liberal distribution unto them and unto everyone,


for certainly God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and having placed in us the word of reconciliation.


For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, the stewardship of the gospel is committed unto me.


If others are partakers of this authority over you, why not us? Nevertheless we have not used this authority, but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.




How shall not the ministry of the Spirit be for greater glory?
















and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,














if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which has been given to me in you,


If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,




But even if we, or an angel from heaven, were to preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be anathema.


Now to him that is able to confirm you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was concealed from times eternal


So that, as concerning the gospel, I have them for enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election of God, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.


For I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of the Christ.



But what does it say? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach,








Men and brethren, sons of the lineage of Abraham, and whosoever among you fears God, unto you is this word of saving health sent.


For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.





And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the principals of the Jews together, and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans, who, when they had examined me, would have let me go because there was no cause of death in me. But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar, not that I had anything to accuse my nation of. read more.
For this cause therefore I have called for you, to see you and to speak with you: because for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain. And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came showed or spoke any harm of thee. But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest; for as concerning this sect, we know that everywhere it is spoken against. And when they had appointed him a day, many came to him into his lodging, to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, procuring to persuade them of that concerning Jesus, the Christ, out of the law of Moses and out of the prophets, from morning until evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some did not believe. And when they did not agree among themselves, they departed, after Paul had spoken this word, Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers, saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see and not perceive; for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them. Be it known, therefore, unto you that this saving health of God is sent unto the Gentiles and that they will hear it. And when he had said these words, the Jews departed and had a great dispute among themselves.


Then Jesus said unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place, for all those that take the sword shall perish by the sword.


Paul, slave of Jesus, the Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God (which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures)


whom God purposed for reconciliation through faith in his blood for the manifestation of his righteousness, for the remission of sins that are past, by the patience of God, manifesting in this time his righteousness that he only be the just one and the justifier of him that is of the faith of Jesus.
