But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.





and sent Timothy, our brother and God's servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith;


Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,






The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.



I am the first to say to Zion, 'Behold, look at them;' and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.




But when I saw that they didn't walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, "If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?


Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.


For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don't obey the Good News of God?


I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the Good News which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.

and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision.







but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.


but the Lord's word endures forever." This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.




And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" But they didn't all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"















the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.



Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,


Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.




For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn't profit them, because it wasn't mixed with faith by those who heard.


Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.



giving vengeance to those who don't know God, and to those who don't obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus, who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,


Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.



For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.



For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.


"Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men."

The angel said to them, "Don't be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.


seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all;


namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.


For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.


If others partake of this right over you, don't we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.




won't service of the Spirit be with much more glory?
















on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,














if it is so that you have heard of the administration of that grace of God which was given me toward you;


If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn't consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,






(14:24) Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,


Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.


I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.



But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.


For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.





It happened that after three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. When they had come together, he said to them, "I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people, or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans, who, when they had examined me, desired to set me free, because there was no cause of death in me. But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything about which to accuse my nation. read more.
For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain." They said to him, "We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor did any of the brothers come here and report or speak any evil of you. But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against." When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about the Kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening. Some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved. When they didn't agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word, "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah, the prophet, to our fathers, saying, 'Go to this people, and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive. For this people's heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.' "Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations. They will also listen." When he had said these words, the Jews departed, having a great dispute among themselves.


Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.


Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the Good News of God, which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,


whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God's forbearance; to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
