And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the sons of Issachar according to their families. And their border was Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem, Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, read more.
Rabbith, Kishion, Abez, Remeth, Engannim, Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez; and this border reaches to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and their border comes out to the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Ephraim towards the Negev and Manasseh to the north and the sea is his border; and they meet with Asher on the side of the north and with Issachar to the east. And Manasseh also had in Issachar and in Asher Bethshean and her towns and Ibleam and her towns and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, three provinces.


These shall pitch toward the sunrise, on the east: the standard of the camp of Judah throughout their hosts and the prince of the sons of Judah, Nahshon, the son of Amminadab.

Next to him shall pitch those of the tribe of Issachar and the prince of the sons of Issachar, Nethaneel, the son of Zuar.

In the first place went the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah according to their armies, and over his host was Nahshon, the son of Amminadab. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar was Nethaneel, the son of Zuar.


Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war, those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

His host, with those that were numbered thereof, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.


And likewise, those that were near them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, and food, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly; for there was joy in Israel.

And of the sons of Issachar, two hundred chief men, who had understanding of the times and were wise to know what Israel ought to do; and all their brethren followed their word.


And to Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and thou, Issachar, in thy tents. They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; therefore they shall suck the abundance of the seas and hidden treasures of the sand.


For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, and they ate the passover not as it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon each one


These are the families of Issachar according to those numbered, sixty-four thousand three hundred.


Also princes of Issachar were with Deborah; and Issachar, like Barak, went on foot into the valley. From the divisions of Reuben, great are the thoughts of the heart.


The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of the houses of their fathers. Those of Tola numbered by their families twenty-two thousand valiant men of might in the days of David.

And their brethren among all the families of Issachar were valiant men of might, reckoned in all by their genealogies eighty-seven thousand.


And Baasha, the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, for Nadab and all Israel had laid siege to Gibbethon.

And after Abimelech there arose to save Israel, Tola, the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in Mount Ephraim.

The sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Pua, the family of the Punites; of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.


On the second day Nethaneel, the son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, offered. He offered for his offering one silver charger, the weight thereof was one hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a present; one spoon of gold of ten shekels, full of incense; read more.
one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering; one he goat as the sin; and for a sacrifice of peace: two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;


of Issachar, Nethaneel, the son of Zuar;


Next to him shall pitch those of the tribe of Issachar and the prince of the sons of Issachar, Nethaneel, the son of Zuar.
