Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus, his disciples, and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus (that is, the son of Timaeus) was sitting by the road. When he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was there, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" So Jesus stopped and said, "Call him!" So they called the blind man and told him, "Have courage! Get up. He's calling you." He threw off his coat, jumped up, and went to Jesus. Then Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man told him, "Rabbouni, I want to see again." Jesus told him, "Go. Your faith has made you well." At once the man could see again, and he began to follow Jesus down the road.

Immediately the man could see again and began to follow Jesus, glorifying God. All the people saw this and gave praise to God.


But one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, came back and praised God with a loud voice. He fell on his face at Jesus' feet and thanked him. Now that man was a Samaritan.


Then the father realized that this was the very hour when Jesus had told him, "Your son will live." So he himself believed, along with his whole family.


Then he placed his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and began praising God.


So the man immediately stood up in front of them and picked up what he had been lying on. Then he went home, praising God.


"Go home and tell what God has done for you." So the man left and kept proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.
