And Peter sat outside in the court. And a girl came to him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied all before them, saying, I do not know what you say. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you. Then he began to curse and to swear, I do not know the man. And immediately the cock crowed. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, Who said to him, Before the cock crows, you shall deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

And they who had seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had assembled. But Peter followed Him afar off to the high priest's court, and he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
And as Peter was below in the palace, one of the servant women of the high priest came. And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked on him and said, And you also were with Jesus the Nazarene. But he denied, saying, I do not know nor even understand what you are saying. And he went out into the forecourt. And a cock crowed. read more.
And a servant woman saw him again and began to say to those who stood by, This one is of them. And he denied it again. And a little after, those who stood by said again to Peter, Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your speech agrees. And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Then they said to him, Are you not also one of his disciples? He denied and said, I am not. One of the servants of the high priest, being kinsman to him whose ear Peter cut off, said, Did I not see you in the garden with him? Peter then denied again. And immediately a cock crowed.
And they led Jesus away to the high priest. And with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. And Peter followed Him from a distance to the inside of the court of the high priest. And he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the fire.
And laying hold on Him, they led Him away and brought Him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. And lighting a fire in the middle of the court, and they sitting down, Peter sat in their midst. But a certain slave-girl saw him as he sat by the fire and earnestly looked on him and said, This man was with him also. read more.
And he denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him. And after a little while another saw him and said, You also are of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not! And about an hour afterward, another confidently affirmed, saying, Truly this one was also with him, for he is a Galilean. And Peter said, Man, I do not know what you say. And immediately, while he still spoke, the cock crowed. And the Lord turned and looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock crows, you shall deny Me three times. And Peter went out and wept bitterly.

And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that year. And Caiaphas was he who gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. And Simon Peter and another disciple followed Jesus. And the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold. And they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself.
