not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath, for it is written, Vengeance is for me, I will repay, says Lord.
O LORD, thou God to whom vengeance belongs, thou God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.
For we know him who said, Vengeance is for me, I will repay, says Lord. And again, Lord will judge his people.
Vengeance is mine, and recompense at the time when their foot shall slide. For the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that are to come upon them shall make haste. For LORD will judge his people, and regrets for his servants, when he sees that [their] power is gone, and there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.
