Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, immersing them (the disciples) into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo; I am with you all the days, even to the end of the age.

And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out, two and two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits. And he said to them: Wherever you enter a house, there make your home till you depart from that place. And whoever will not receive you, nor hear you, when you go out from that place, shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. And they went out and preached that men should repent; and they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and cured them.

Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they reclined at table; and he reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen. And he said to them: Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is immersed, shall be saved; he that believes not, shall be condemned. read more.
And these signs shall attend those who believe. In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and, if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The Lord, therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: and he sat down at the right hand of God. And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

Carry no purse, nor bag, nor sandals; and salute no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest on him; but, if not, it shall return upon you. And in that house remain, eating and drinking what they have to give; for the laborer is worthy of his hire; go not from house to house. And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you. But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say: Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.

that no one may say that I immersed into my own name. I did, in deed, immerse the household of Stephanus; besides, I know not whether I immersed any other. For Christ sent me not to immerse, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of speech, lest the cross of the Christ should be deprived of its power.
