Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not now; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go directly to my brethren, and tell them, "I am to ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God."

Now the Lord, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Then He opened their mind, to understand the scriptures: and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day; and that in his name should be preached repentance and remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. read more.
And ye are witnesses of these things: and I will send upon you the promise of my Father; but do ye continue in the city of Jerusalem, till ye are endued with power from on high. And He led them out as far as to Bethany: and lifted up his hands and blessed them. And while He was blessing them, He was parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.

For no one hath ascended up into heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up:

But grace is given to each of us, according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore it is said, "When he ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men." He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

The resemblance of which, even baptism, doth also now save us, (not the outward cleansing of filth from the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.
