Here is wisdom. Let the one having understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man. And his is, Six hundred and sixty-six.

And he causes all, small and great, both rich and poor, both free and bond, that they may give them a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead: that no one may be able to buy or sell, except the one having the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word of God, who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and they did not receive his mark on their forehead, and on their hand; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
