And I tell you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except for whoredom, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth the divorced woman, committeth adultery.
But I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except on account of whoredom, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.
Remember those who are in chains, as in chains with them; and those who are suffering afflictions, as being yourselves also in the body.
Husbands, love your wives, and use no asperity against them.
Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Let no loose discourse proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good for useful edification, that it may communicate grace to the hearers.
If any man thinks he is a religious character among you, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Out of the same mouth goeth forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be thus.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and scandal, be removed from you, with all malice:
