17 Bible Verses about Acceptance, Of Jesus Christ

But to all who have received him -- those who believe in his name -- he has given the right to become God's children

Therefore, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,

I tell you the solemn truth, whoever accepts the one I send accepts me, and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."

"Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.

And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me.

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."

and said to them, "Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me, for the one who is least among you all is the one who is great."

"The one who listens to you listens to me, and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

But Jesus shouted out, "The one who believes in me does not believe in me, but in the one who sent me,

because I have given them the words you have given me. They accepted them and really understand that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah, who is to come.

He said to them, "Not everyone can accept this statement, except those to whom it has been given. For there are some eunuchs who were that way from birth, and some who were made eunuchs by others, and some who became eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this should accept it."

The one who has accepted his testimony has confirmed clearly that God is truthful. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly.

He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him.

I tell you the solemn truth, we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.

I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe, if you accept praise from one another and don't seek the praise that comes from the only God?

Then many of his disciples, when they heard these things, said, "This is a difficult saying! Who can understand it?"
