When the princes of the priests and the servants saw him, they cried out, saying, crucify him, crucify him. Pilate said unto them, Take him, and crucify him, for I find no fault in him.

And being accused by the princes of the priests and the elders, he answered nothing. Then Pilate said unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he did not answer him even a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

And the inscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek and Latin and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And Pilate also wrote a title and put it above the cross . And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. And many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near to the city; and it was written in Hebrew and Greek and Latin. Then said Pilate to the princes of the priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate then went out unto them and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?

Pilate therefore went forth again and said unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
