When therefore the chief priests and the subordinates saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify, crucify him! Pilate says to them, Ye take ye him and crucify, for I find no cause in him.

And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then Pilate says to him, Do thou not hear how many things they testify against thee? And he did not answer him, not even one word, so as for the governor to marvel greatly.

And the inscription of his accusation was inscribed, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And there was also an inscription over him written in letters, in Greek and Latin and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

And Pilate also wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And it was written, JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Therefore many of the Jews read this title, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, in Latin. Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

And Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, I find nothing guilty in this man.

Pilate therefore went out to them, and said, What accusation do ye bring against this man?

Therefore Pilate again went forth outside, and says to them, Behold, I bring him out to you, so that ye may know that I find not one cause in him.
