When the high priests and attendants saw Him, they shouted, "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I can find no ground for a charge against Him."

And while the charges were being made against Him by the high priests and elders, He made no answer. Then Pilate said to Him, "Do you not hear how strong is the evidence they are bringing against you?" But He did not answer him a single word, so that the governor was dumbfounded beyond expression.

And the notice of the charge against Him read, "The king of the Jews."

Yes, there was a placard above His head: "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."

Pilate had a placard written and had it put over the cross: "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS." Then Pilate said to the high priests and crowds, "I do not find anything blameworthy in this man."

So Pilate came outside and asked, "What is the charge you bring against this man?"

And Pilate went outside again and said to the Jews, "Listen! I am going to bring Him out to you, for you to see that I can find no ground for a charge against Him."
