For God is my witness, how I long after you in the affections of Jesus Christ.

Besides all these, that which comes upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

If then there is any consolation in Christ, if there is any comfort of divine love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercies, fill my joy, that you may think the same thing, having the same divine love, being like-minded, thinking this one thing;

but we were gentle in the midst of you, as if a nurse may cherish her children; being so desirous of you, that we are anxious not only to give the gospel of God, but our own souls, because you are beloved unto us.

We give thanks to God even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,
