And as for you, ye meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built store-cities for Pharaoh, Pithom and Rameses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread out. And they were grieved because of the sons of Israel.

who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness--fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where was no water--who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint, who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers did not know, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end.

And I will cause you to pass under the rod. And I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
