Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will thou indeed be to me as a deceitful [brook], as waters that fail?

And now my soul is poured out within me. Days of affliction have taken hold upon me. In the night season my bones are pierced in me, and the [pains] that gnaw me take no rest.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am withered away. O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled. And thou, O LORD, how long?

For my loins are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

But I am poor and sorrowful. Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
